Sports Endorsements for Watches

I’ll have to admit I don’t even know who half of the athletes presented in these print ads are but it’s interesting to see so many sports endorsements running in so many different magazines at the same time. I think the Bulova creatives have more intriguing and inspiring artwork. The way the athletes move through the watch’s arm band with passionate strokes of red and blue light trailing behind them suggests the wearers will travel through [time] their day in style with a rush of excitement.

Bulova beats out Rolex, Seiko, G-Shock, and TAGheuer for the best athletic sponsorships. The last four offer up regurgitated campaigns full of trite, unimaginative art direction. With so many symbols and notions associated with watches and the element of time, I’m surprised the advertisers didn’t come up with anything better!
